What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The connections you form with students is very important. From learning about what makes them tick as a student, to learning their fears and insecurities, to learning their life goals and ambitions, to even learning their life philosophies, you see different perspectives about life and how to approach different situations. You are also a role model for your students. I found a lot of enjoyment in teaching my students on not just how to survive school academically, but also socially and mentally. It was really fulfilling to give back value to my students.

With individual tutoring one must adapt themselves to every case. I have the natural ability to make friends with my students and teach every kid with an open mind and high energy to make them as interested in their topic as possible.

One of the most essential ingredients is chemistry. A good tutor will take the time to connect meaningfully with the student and their families. They will be caring and compassionate, but also professional and organized. Having a good rapport with the student will move a tutor from good to great. Tutors should check for understanding as they go and constantly build confidence so that the student feels like their abilities are improving.
