What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Forming meaningful connections with my students is what I enjoy most about tutoring. I love listening to their dreams and ambitions, what they enjoy most about studying, what motivates them when the going gets tough. I have always found that really interesting and it is has given me the opportunity to learn from different perspectives and through their experiences. As a goal-oriented individual, it is gratifying to know that I have influenced my students in a positive way, either academically when their results have improved or even socially in the way they interact with their peers.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my greatest strength as a tutor is my energy. I am always willing to go above and beyond in order to support my students in the best way possible. I love conversing with other tutors to gain ideas on how to better engage students, how to keep them motivated and most importantly, how to teach better. Another strength would be my adaptability and determination. As a tutor, I am quite confident in adapting on the fly to different situations. Furthermore, my determination to push through setbacks will hopefully influence my students to do the same.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutors should not only be proficient at teaching but also building the students' self esteem. As a tutor, I want my students to be confident in their ability and give them the conviction they need to achieve their goals. Secondly, it is also important for a tutor to be humble and open to making mistakes in the classroom. Having the humility to admit that I may not know the answer is more important than giving them a random answer and illogical explanation. I would rather ask for help and come back to them at a later time with the right answer.
