Getting through 12 grades of school has its challenges. From actually passing exams to building intellectual independence to figuring out what to do after high school's over. Everyone can remember some of the hurdles that came up during the school years of their life. We have 73 English tutors in Maroubra available to help your child overcome some of those hurdles. Private tutoring is all about a tailored approach, so whether your child needs to overcome some confidence issues, develop a study plan, prepare for exams or comprehend some specific trouble topics, we're here to help. And, what helps the most is having a good student-tutor fit, it's really a core ingredient that determines whether tutoring will help your child in the way you want.
So how does it all work?
The tutoring is done in your home at a time and day that is convenient. We want you to be super happy with your English tutor so the first lesson works as a trial: don't like it = don't pay for it. No extra charges, booking costs, cancellation fees, minimum requirements or anything of that sort. Pay for the tutoring time used at the end of each month based on a simple hourly rate. That's all!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
With Kate this month I focused on note taking, back checking, and seeking understanding learning strategies. These are to help her to think through the problems and formulate a mental process for her to go through as she is working out problems. Also, these help to understand the concepts better as with using clock faces and times.
Very positive attitude at this stage. Jessica is well organised for tutoring with questions, implying her level of effort to her learning. It is still very early to assist work habits, but for the two lessons I have had with Jessica she has excellent work habits, such as organising work needed for further understanding. Consistency in tutorials will give enough time to apply extra work habits to enhance her performance academically.
One thing that I have noticed in our sessions is that Lauren sometimes makes little errors in her work. An example is when dividing. If she has a problem that is 8/6 she will say 6 goes into 8 6 times while the correct answer is it goes in once as a 6. However, she does often notice her errors after completing the question and if I point it out she automatically realises her error.
Both Natalia and Kiara are very happy with Abigail and things are starting off really great.
Mina is a very helpful teacher who has allowed me to regain confidence. There are times when I do get stuck on some topics, but Mina will know when I need help and she will focus on that topic a bit more. She gives me a wide range of different questions which prepare me for my tests. Her work ethic is an extra bonus which allows me to feel more motivated about maths and makes me feel more confident in harder areas. I recommend Mina to anyone who is looking for a kind and positive teacher who builds up confidence and knowledge. Mina is a hard worker and doesn't put her students down and encourages them even when they aren't understanding the topic.
At this point, we are happy with the way things are progressing. Ryan seems a bright and capable young man and Kirsten does feel the sessions are assisting her.
