What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Seeing the progress students make in their respective subject, but also an understanding of how they think and the development of other skills. I also enjoy setting realistic expectations that allow students to perform to their best ability.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Creative problem solving in ways to explain concepts that allow students to understand. Creating progress plans Connecting with students and the ability to develop trust. Encouragement and having realistic expectations. Ability to analyse a students strengths and abilities, but also their attitude towards studying.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

One of the most important things is for a tutor to be able to understand where students are at, and being able to take them to the place where they need to be. This requires understanding how the student learns, processes and approaches tasks and problems and being able to present methods which they can use for themselves. The ultimate goal for a tutor is for the student to become a self-sufficient learner and not need a tutor. The best things we can teach a student is not content, but methods for learning, problem solving etc that will influence thier lives and careers.
