What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I most enjoy about tutoring is the moment that I help students understand a subject they have been struggling to understand - there's always a moment where a metaphorical 'lightbulb' switches on, and the student finds they understand how a subject/concept fits together in the bigger picture.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel I would be a great tutor due to what I have learnt during my previous tutoring experiences. I have learnt to better manage and construct lesson plans, as well as develop a deeper understanding of the different ways in which students prefer to learn. Moreover, I feel I have a deep understanding and appreciation of the material which leads to me enthusiastically explain concepts and methods to my students. On a personal note, I've had my own setbacks in terms of being motivated during school, and I feel that has led me to emphatically understand students who may be struggling.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be there for the student when they are unsure about a subject, and help them understand, and apply that topic. I think complementary to being academically available to students is to help them keep on schedule in their learning via session pacing and planning.
