What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I want to give back to other students the mentoring that was invested in me. I had the privilege during all my studies of enlisting the help of private tutors when I struggled to reach my academic goals. I want to share this knowledge that has been invested in me and see other students pass their academic struggles just as I have in the past.My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I aim to create a safe, nonjudgemental space that is tolerant of mistakes. Mistakes are key to learning, so I encourage educated guessing and attempts to improve solving skills.Most important things I can do for a student π
In my current study, the most important skills are independent learning and peer teaching. I aim to teach students how to identify their gaps and where to look, whether Google or Youtube or books or teachers. I will teach students study skills like note taking or flashcard techniques. In the end, my goal will be to make the student the expert and have them practice "teaching" me what they've learned.
