What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
More than any other Job I have had, I find tutoring to be extremely rewarding. I love that I can bring my knowledge to the service of others and help them reach their goals.
One of the most rewarding experiences I have had as a tutor was sharing my passion for math and science with a student and observing her improvements to the point where my services were no longer required.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As any tutor should, I try to make my lessons as informative and engaging as possible. However, I believe my strongest strength lies in my ability to relate to my students in a way that a teacher can't. It was not so long ago that I sat in their place and I believe by reminding them of that, I can build a stronger relationship with my students and encourage them to open up and ask more questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the two most important things a tutor can do for a student are to make sure they feel comfortable enough to open up about their difficulties and tailor the lessons to their needs in a way traditional school classes can't.

Jad still has a bit of difficulty during reading comprehensions. He needs to try and be more focused when reading.
I was happy to see that Jad was still willing to work productively even though he wasn’t feeling his best.

I would like to see Jad become more argumentative in his answers (for English) instead of relying mostly on yes/no answers. It is something we will be working on in the future.
I was very impressed by the progress Jad made on his presentation. Jad was attentive during the Math part of the lesson and quickly grasped the new concepts.

Jad gets distracted during our English exercises which slows the progress of the lesson.
Jad could complete long devisions without any help after a very quick recap.

Jad should try to improve his focus when reading, as he had trouble answering some of the reading comp. questions.
