Getting through 12 grades of school has its challenges. From actually passing exams to building intellectual independence to figuring out what to do after high school's over. Everyone can remember some of the hurdles that came up during the school years of their life. We have 14 English tutors in Waterford available to help your child overcome some of those hurdles. Private tutoring is all about a tailored approach, so whether your child needs to overcome some confidence issues, develop a study plan, prepare for exams or comprehend some specific trouble topics, we're here to help. And, what helps the most is having a good student-tutor fit, it's really a core ingredient that determines whether tutoring will help your child in the way you want.
So how does it all work?
The tutoring is done in your home at a time and day that is convenient. We want you to be super happy with your English tutor so the first lesson works as a trial: don't like it = don't pay for it. No extra charges, booking costs, cancellation fees, minimum requirements or anything of that sort. Pay for the tutoring time used at the end of each month based on a simple hourly rate. That's all!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Would like to be able to teach Leon back checking, as this would be a vital strategy in finding out his "silly mistakes". He does have good correction skill through correcting his school work. I will also be looking into reading questions aloud so that he may slowly read a question rather than skimming it.
Ceejay's attitudenis getting better as she is finding. It easier to understand the topics. Even harder questions are doable under the correct guidance. Doing some homework outside of tutoring hours is advisable; but she is very busy, so it's not necessary.
I believe that Charlott's problem areas are number patterns that have larger numbers or calculations- for example going up by 8's or down by 7's. I also believe another problem area for Charlotte is time. Currently, I believe she is having trouble identifying how the little hand moves with the big hand why it is called quarter TO and quarter PAST. But, saying that, I do believe she is significantly improving in both her number patterns and time.
