With each chemistry lesson, there's more and more information. After a while, it gets harder and harder to pinpoint how it's all connected. No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Wellard chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Wellard, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Keane's continues to talk aloud as he is working out maths problems. Upon getting a question wrong, Keane uses back checking in order to work out what he's done wrong and then makes the appropriate corrections, with guidance. Keane continues to seek understanding and asks questions when he doesn't know what to do or doesn't understand a specific concept.
I was pleased with Daniel's approach to all sessions. He works purposefully and is an engaged and friendly student. I encourage him to continue these fantastic traits as they have made it very rewarding for me, when working with him.
Ben has not quite mastered linear equations. More practice and study time spent on this topic will definitely help with this. I will be sending question sheets via email for him to practice on for his upcoming exam later this week.

Just an up date on Alexander. He is absolutely shining with Matt - fantastic tutor!
Ivana is really on to where Ethan's weaknesses and strengths are and works on them. The report is very thorough and I see/agree with her feedback. She really knows where he is at. It's great areas can be targeted and some are quick and some take longer to consolidate. We are very happy with Ivana and appreciate all her efforts!
Padma and Pearl have made a good connection and are working well together. She arrives on time, is very focussed and very good at engaging Pearl. Padma also really knows her maths and I think this has helped pearl feel more confident about doing math.
