Verbal and written language skills are crucial in the information age. Comprehending texts, textual analysis, structuring written reports, refining creative processes and applying a structure to them, articulating thoughts concisely ... these skills are going to be useful in just about any career path. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Morigan has continued to format her answers neatly and logically. She should continue asking questions as she has been doing. In particular, she should be honest if she does not understand any of my explanations , I will happily explain it in different ways. She may find certain memory strategies helpful , for example, the BIDMAS acronym for remembering order of operations: brackets, then indices, then division and multiplication, then addition and subtraction.
Emilee has a can do attitude and a willingness to learn new methods which is no able feat since she isn't fond of maths. Occasionally she can get distracted but once she's on the question and she is completely focused on it she can easily solve it.
She gets distracted easily so inputting games into the end of the lesson helps with encouraging her to concentrate during the session. Her subtraction seems to lack a little compared to her ability to do addition problems. She likes to avoid subtraction. Whenever I ask her if she wants to do subtraction, she avoids it and asks to do addition instead.

Kai is really enjoying his lessons with Noah! He's got a great way of connecting with Kai. Kai mentioned that Noah explains the reasons instead of doing things by rote. He gets him to think before explaining the answer. Very happy with him!
Breanna is doing well with Clarissa and finding that it is helping even this early in.
I just wanted to thank the EzyMath team. Jayesh has done an incredible job in tutoring Shona, her marks have gone from a fail to the mid 80s but not just that, its her understanding of the core concepts that has improved dramatically. Shona is at a point now where she is prepared for her HSC, she has a study schedule in place and feels confident about the syllabus.
