Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't. Tutors we work with understand that. They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping...
They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping others do the same. They know the pitfalls, where to spend that extra hour and what you need to memorise before you can completely understand a concept.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I am encouraged to see that Ellie writes her solutions down rather than doing them all from the top of her head. It would be good for her to continue to use this method with Maths and her other subjects. When I asked her if she understood the question/solution, she explains clearly. Which shows that she wants to understand the question, also I want to encourage her to break down the question to help make it simpler to solve the problem, but this will require more time for it to become natural.
Sian's attitude is always positive which is fantastic! Sian is putting in lots of effort and is making sure she understands the topic. Sian's note taking is still perfect. She is asking the teacher for assistance when she needs.
Ruby's weak topics are angles and basic algebra. She also needs to improve her times tables. Basics on major topics from her text book, needs to be revisited and retaught again. She has trouble grasping onto particular topics rather than others. Ruby struggles to remember things that I taught her a week back as well as information taught to her only 10 minutes ago.
Rishi is great guy and working well with our son James. We realise it is early days but James is already more confident with his approach towards maths. Thanks for checking in with us. It is appreciated.
Anusheel been tutoring Ramin for a few sessions now and as you said it will take a few months to notice. However, so far Ramin is happy. He is having his year 11 final exam this week and Anusheel is doing a good Job, thank you.
Hello Erica, Thanks for touching base. Isabella is great. She's gelled really nicely with Meg, who is already saying that for the first time she understands why things are done a certain way, rather than just being told to do it. I'll let you know if any issues arise but at this point I can't see any at this stage. Cheers
