The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
ELIZABETH has started adopting to the strategies now. She was used to solve the problems using long methods example using fingers to count ot using table chart to get help but now she is applying talking aloud and using pen n paper strategy.
Sophia always have a positive attitude every tutorial She puts in great effort for every tutorial and even asks for more practice to keep improving her skills. After giving her some assignment, she completed it before the following tutorial which shows her good work ethic.
Gaps include correctly remembering measurement values, like 1 metre is equivalent to 100cm. Making simple mistakes in her working out that result in incorrect answers. Being able to recognise these simple mistakes will fix this problem, although recognising them when they occur is difficult for Sylvia at times.
Our tutor is wonderful and has been extremely helpful and accommodating with scheduling.
Thank you for the assistance Thanh has provided. It has certainly improved her confidence.
We have had two tutor sessions with Rhys and thus far we have been very happy with everything and more importantly Stewart is quite comfortable with Rhys and is finding the sessions helpful.
