What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing students’ confidence grow in areas that they previously struggled in, and seeing how they translate that confidence into learning new topics without the fear they will not succeed.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Determining why and how a student may be having trouble with a concept, and finding a way to teach it that ‘clicks’ with their way of thinking specifically. I am also compassionate towards students with significant anxiety and social problems, so I am patient and always trying my best to make sessions comfortable.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Instil confidence, teach problem solving and critical thinking that can be applied across all academic areas, and encourage resilience when students are struggling, reiterating that it is okay to not understand straight away and that persisting is the most important thing.
