Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Bardon, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Bardon English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Rose is now becoming more and more confident when answering questions and is very enthusiastic and always keen to learn new concepts. She always clarifies any concepts she doesn't understand and is not afraid to question.
Sienna works really well in class and her attitude towards learning and lessons is really positive. Her completion of homework has tended to be more hit and miss, though in recent weeks we have been completing homework more regularly.
As we tackle more and more complex problems, Bailey is starting to lose track of the goals at hand and go off on a bit of a mathematical side-track. Most of the time this isn't an issue and is an exciting opportunity for mathematical exploration, but occasionally it makes finding the answers to multi-step problems difficult. These multi-step problems will be a focus for us in the coming weeks.

We are extremely happy with Estephanie. She has managed to hit exactly the right note. We are just looking for Isabel to understand some basic principles and Estaphie is managing this with patience and skill. I cannot speak highly enough of Estaphanie.
I am happy with the way things have started up. Peter has already had an improvement in his Maths test result and I am hoping that this will also be the case with his recent SAC.
Thank you for your follow up email. Yes it all seems to be going along fine with Ben. I think Cassie is finding helpful and slowly building her confidence again. She was quite a bit behind and struggling so I understand it will probably take a little while. She had a maths test last week which Ben appeared to provide a thorough preparation for her.
