No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Ashgrove chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Ashgrove, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
She has a well developed learning strategy of good corrections, back checking and pen and paper. She plans her working while solving a problem, which is a commendable way to approach. She focuses on minute details and shows her eagerness to understand a concept than just to learn, which is great. I feel she needs to keep up the practice and should ask questions more often for even for a smallest doubt.
Yasmin has a positive attitude to learning. Yasmin puts in excellent effort in class and in completing her homework. Yasmin has great work habits, with her only problem being making errors when she rewrites questions or not checking her work for small mistakes that might change the answer to a question.
There have been some instances where Bridie has made a mistake in multiplication that may be indicative of just going through the process she's been taught instead of understanding why she's doing that process. This is to be expected though at this age and can really only be solved with time, practice and increasing her confidence. Division is an area where I think Bridie can become more familiar with. I think, given her improved familiarity with multiplication, she will now find it easier.
We undertook tutoring with EzyMaths to assist my son in his Year 12 studies. We have found EzyMaths tutors excellent to deal with, always friendly, efficient and on time, and always willing to fit in with our personal timetable, and I am sure they have made a vast difference to the possible outcome and assisted my son for his future endeavours. I would recommend EzyMaths to anyone in a similar situation. They cater for all needs and I have found them to be of great benefit to my son and us.
I found Ezy Math is very supportive of their tutors. There are fortnightly feedback forms that make sure you're going okay with everything while tutoring. The company does supply you with teaching resources that you may need and offers to teach students are always incoming. Tutoring will definitely develop your communication and skills in dealing with people. I highly recommend other tutors to take a look at Ezy Math.
We are very pleased how things are going with Megan and her tutor Swati. Swati is always punctual, she is very knowledgeable, she has excellent manners in tutoring & in general, and she is helping a lot already in building confidence in Megan abilities to understand maths for this year. Megan is comfortable and at ease to ask any questions when needed during the tuition.
