Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through SACE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Allenby Gardens to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Allenby Gardens chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Callum has a bright mind and likes to show this. However, he often seems unsure about how he gets his answers, and guesses at how to do the questions. As such, I always ensure that he has a deep understanding of each topic before moving on to the next.
Very good attitude during the classes, was staying focused through the entire class and was working very well! When Tej knew how to solve an exercise, she puts a lot of effort in it to succeed. The only part where there is a small lack of effort is when she doesn't know where to start and she gives up a little bit too quickly. Tej is clearly a very hard working student and also seems eager to learn! She was a very enjoyable student to have.
Improvement at talking aloud, problem solving skills and desire to understand. Writing more on paper what goes through the head can be of much help. Carl does magnificent work in class and at home, a neater work could benefit to solve questions easier and faster
