Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through SACE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Hindmarsh to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Hindmarsh chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Lillian is improving in her ability to talk aloud and pen to paper and self-questioning but she still needs to improve on back checking as she makes small errors in her working out and does not pick them up until I remind her to check her work.
Lara's attitude is always excellent. Lara tries very hard in our sessions and takes them seriously, allowing her to get the most out of them. Lara's work habits are also excellent. She always has work that she has already attempted, which helps to focus our sessions. She clearly does a lot of study outside of our sessions and this shows in her progress between sessions.
Molly still has some difficulties with her multiplication and division, but she's getting there. Fractions are also a slight problem. Molly still takes time with her multiplication, division, and fractions.

We are very happy with AiPing, she works the boys hard and seems to be very knowledgeable.
So far we are extremely happy with Sarah. As you said, it is very early days, but so far so good. Mackenzie is very comfortable with her and feeling very positive about having Sarah as his new tutor. She is always punctual and friendly. And she has taken on some extra sessions with Mack over the school holidays which has been very helpful. I look forward to getting a couple of months tutoring under our belt to hopefully see some progress.
Thank you for your email. Things are going well with the tutoring and Christian is a capable young man, as you say it will take time to see an improvement. Hopefully after that time, Kimberley will be feeling more confident.
