The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Mason's ability to grasp mathematical concepts and transfer them have been very commendable. I am also very pleased with his consistent backchecking, which as essential practice. I would however encourage him to begin speaking aloud to himself as he solves problems, which can be a very helpful tool in being able to translate questions on paper into information that is easy to handle and find solutions too.
Jeyda has a positive attitude towards tutoring and always does her homework assigned by me and by her maths teacher. In our last couple of sessions together she was even asking for year 8 work so she could get a head start for next year, which was really encouraging.
What I would like to improve is his way pf approaching a question. It is good to get the answer but I would like to stress out more that it is how to get the answer which matters. Also, he has been confused about addition and subtraction and other basic skills but we have been working on those.
Rishi has given Juliette 2 tutorials. So far so good. He quickly established a good rapport with Juliette and found where her strengths and weaknesses were. She had a maths exam today and she said there was only one question that was challenging.
I loved my experience as a tutor! Being a tutor at Ezy Math taught me priceless communication and interpersonal skills. It was a very rewarding experience to see my students learn and improve on their studies over the year, and Ezy Math always gave me the teaching support whenever I needed it. The hours were flexible and easy to schedule in around my other commitments.
I would like to say that James is an excellent tutor. Liam really enjoyed having James as his tutor and I would recommend James to any body interested in a Maths or English tutor. I think that James has done such an excellent job that Liam is now in advance of his class mates and has developed the skills to progress without a tutor.
