Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Miah has so far been very receptive to work and a pleasure to tutor. She has become more confident in her communication and problem solving abilities. Miah has shown good intuition on some questions so far. I believe we can transfer these skills through back checking and writing each step to solving the question.
Hafsa has been having good attitude in learning, such as being willing to learn new knowledge, understanding it is okay to be wrong. I think Hafsa need to be more patient to practice basic problems even they are already too easy for her. But practicing basic problems enable her to refresh previous concepts and strategies, which she will probably forget sometimes. Good work habits. Only thing need to be improved is her organizing skill, as sometime she lost her notes.
Sandev understands the things being taught to him, but when given questions to do, he gets them wrong. Sandev tends to rush things to do them as fast as he can. When asked to explain how he did the question, he picks up the mistakes.
Shay is really enjoying the tutoring and Ben is a great tutor. She is already improving in her maths, which was the objective. Shay even does her extra math homework without argument which is amazing . We look forward to working with Ben for the rest of this term and next year.
I would like to inform you that Paul did his last session with Vik on Sunday 11.Nov 2012. I have to mention that he did a fantastic job of teaching Vik the two subjects maths & physics, and also helping him understand how VCE works. Thank You for keeping me well informed about my son's progress. I would have no hesitation to recommend you & Paul to any of my friends or anyone who needs help from a tutor. Wishing you all the best in the future.
We are very pleased with the program to date. Stephen is a very nice young man and a good tutor. David our son enjoys his teaching style and tutoring.
