No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Bahrs Scrub chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Bahrs Scrub, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Learning to be confident in answers even if the answers are wrong. He talks aloud in problems only if I ask him to do so for the question, and knows what to say when talking aloud. Sometimes skips some lines while doing problems to save doing lines and paper, which I think could be worked on. But sometimes he also adds extra lines that have helped him avoid making minor errors while solving problems.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Great effort, needs to put more effort in back checking. Willingly putting more pen to paper with prompting - still likes to do things in his head. Gets distracted easily.
The student makes some errors sometimes and sometimes needs to think outside of the box in the more difficult questions She has a high level of knowledge, the student just needs to work on backchecking and thinking outside the box in more difficult questions
Aurelius is fantastic. Christian and him have hit it off really well and Chris is getting a lot from Aurelius knowledge. Much appreciated.
Everything going well at the moment, no issues and Michael is an extremely patient and competent tutor. Alex is enjoying the sessions and appears to be moving forward.
So far so good with Amelia - she has always been punctual, professional and friendly and Mila feels comfortable with her.
