And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Balgowlah Heights chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Alex usually adopts an 'talking aloud' strategy when solving mathematical problems to ensure he knows how to sequentially tackle the problem at hand. He makes good use of the previous concepts learned to solve maths problems, which is extremely beneficial to his learning as he is able to reinforce on the previous skills learnt, while also showing its practical application in other fields of maths.
He is much less distracted this month as he may have become comfortable with me. He is more willing to learn and do the allocated maths questions. Huge improvement in this aspect! He is quite attentive during lessons, and he likes to ask questions that outside of the book. He enjoys taking on challenges. He can work on his neatness in his working out. He is much better with his paper and pen as well as ok to be wrong.
Lola has few knowledge gaps in the number topics at the beginning of the Year 9 coursework, which has been our primary focus this month. However, in this coming month we intend to address her gaps in algebraic knowledge and skills in anticipation of her in class Algebra topic. Lola currently has no severe or irremediable 'Problem Areas.' However, our immediate focus will be on her lacking algebraic knowledge, and in developing effective study habits for the lead up to exams.
As far as I know, the tutoring is going well. They actually meet at Sydney University library as it is a handy meeting point for both of them and a good place for them to work. I believe that they have a good understanding between them but I will talk to Georgina again today after her lesson.
Andrew is a great tutor, always on time & he is a very polite young man. He is very good at explaining & teaching Georgia short cuts. They get on well which helps & she is happy learning maths.
We approached EzyMath Tutoring as our son missed out on quiet a lot of maths in year 4 due to illness. We were given James as our tutor and he did a great job in catching Daniel up on all he missed. We would recommend EzyMath tutoring for anyone wishing to assist their children in maths.
