It takes a lot to do well in biology. Moving up the curriculum can be a challenge and if students don't jump in with both feet it's easy to fall behind. Catching up while others move on to a completely different area can cause a serious drop in motivation. While most students manage to stay afloat and get the grades they want, it doesn't have to be such an uphill battle.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Victoria has made improvements on previously lacking learning strategies, however, there are still a few issues surrounding her ability to quickly remember past topics and knowledge. Victoria should also understand that there is no real pressure to correctly answer all questions during the tuition and it is alright to be incorrect as long as she understands why the answer may have been wrong and how to avoid thinking the same way in the future.
Rachael is a diligent and conscientious student, who always displays a positive attitude and looks forward to the weekly tutoring sessions. Rachael always puts 110% effort into all tasks, even those tasks she finds to be difficult. Rachael keeps a neat and tidy working folder and school folder. She also takes notes neatly. This will assist Rachael when she needs to compile her notes for tests and exams. Rachael also completes all homework tasks assigned to the best of her ability. Great work Rachael!
Her problem area as of now is to remember the conversations of measurements. I have done a simplified method of her remembering and if practiced enough using the four steps, she will succeed.
Alex, he helped Matt enormously. Not only the actual helping him understand how to tackle some questions but I feel Matt gained confidence going into the exams feeling like there were now no areas he had a poor knowledge of . He was particularly happy with his 2nd maths exam but in both cases he said there questions he would not have been able to answer without Alex's help.
Miah seems to be responding well to her tutoring sessions with Alex. She is feeling less conscious about her problems with maths - which is great.
Thanks for following up. Daniel has been fantastic and we appreciate his diligence.
