What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students build confidence and truly understand concepts that once felt difficult. Seeing their progress, witnessing their “aha” moments, and knowing I played a role in making learning feel more achievable and enjoyable is incredibly rewarding. I love supporting students on their academic journey and inspiring them to believe in their abilities.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have experienced both sides of the learning process. Initially, I wasn’t always the strongest student, so I explored many study methods and techniques that significantly improved my grade, making me one of the highest achievers at my school. This allows me to teach with patience and understanding. I break complex ideas into simple, clear steps, listen carefully to students, and tailor my teaching style to their individual needs. I am encouraging, positive, organised, and committed to supporting students consistently and responsibly. Additionally, I did Cambridge AS and A level curriculum

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing I can do for a student is create a supportive learning environment where they feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. My role is to help students understand concepts deeply, build confidence, develop strong study habits, and encourage independent thinking. I aim to guide, motivate, and empower students so they can grow academically and personally, both during tutoring sessions and beyond.

About Elizabeth

Strong Academic Skills

I’m a Medical Science student from Zambia with a love for biology and chemistry, especially anything related to how the body works. I enjoy learning new things, both inside and outside the classroom, and in my downtime, you’ll usually find me watching football, Arsenal supporter, of course.

Leadership, Mentoring and Real Classroom Experience

As Head Girl at her secondary school, Elizabeth regularly mentored younger students, guided study routines and spoke at school events, building strong communication and leadership skills. She also worked as a science laboratory assistant, helping set up biology and chemistry practicals and explaining procedures to other students. These experiences mean she is comfortable guiding a class, checking understanding and adjusting her explanations so every student keeps up, whether they are catching up or aiming to excel.

Patient, Empathetic Support for Diverse Learners

Elizabeth’s volunteering with people who have hearing and visual impairments has shaped a genuinely patient and adaptable teaching style. She is used to rephrasing ideas, using visual aids and checking in frequently to make sure students feel understood. Her experience in debate and Model United Nations also helps her teach students how to think critically, organise their ideas and express themselves clearly in essays and presentations, building skills that support success across all school subjects and most importantly build confidence
