Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through QCE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Banyo to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Banyo chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Natalia has improved considerably in the skill of putting pen to paper and note taking of the steps she has done. However she still appears to lack confidence at times with her working and often habitually asks for reassurance if what she has done is right.
I really like the positive attitude of Abbie and her independence in attempting questions on her own before every session which helps make the tuition more fruitful. She is slowly building up the confidence in Math as she attempts to do more questions and see the patterns of the routine questions. Abbie is a meticulous and diligent girl with neat work. Keep it up!
Recently joined a parent-teacher meeting so we could get an accurate gauge on Jack's problem areas. So far it seems to be that his biggest issue is performing under pressure or after a long day at school when he is mentally exhausted. He actually understands his maths concepts very well. Only that he needs to be able to continue to perform at Maths even when in a mentally exhausted state. More practice and training of his mind should fix this.
Just an up date on Alexander. He is absolutely shining with Matt - fantastic tutor!
Ivana is really on to where Ethan's weaknesses and strengths are and works on them. The report is very thorough and I see/agree with her feedback. She really knows where he is at. It's great areas can be targeted and some are quick and some take longer to consolidate. We are very happy with Ivana and appreciate all her efforts!
Padma and Pearl have made a good connection and are working well together. She arrives on time, is very focussed and very good at engaging Pearl. Padma also really knows her maths and I think this has helped pearl feel more confident about doing math.
