Chemistry is just one of those subjects, it either clicks or it doesn't. Many students find maths and physics easy, but when it comes to chemistry they just feel lost.
And it's understandable. It can be challenging to connect the concepts to real-life, see how it all relates to their day-to-day. When they're struggling, students tend to give up easily and at some point, they stop trying altogether.
If your child doesn't catch on right away, or maybe they consider chemistry a complete waste of time, it can be hard to convince them otherwise. What we've found is that students react better when it comes from someone who they can relate to.
They react to mentors, someone closer to their age, who shares the same experience. That's why tutors are in a unique position to help a student grow.
That's why great tutoring can make such a big difference.
Want to find out how? We can allocate a local Barangaroo chemistry tutor within a day or two. They reach out to you and set up a first lesson whenever you and your child can make it.
If you like the tutor's approach you keep working with them. If you are not 100% satisfied - we consider it a trial lesson and find a better match. It's that simple!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Lauren has developed the skills of talking aloud and pen to paper very well. When answering a question, she approaches it in a systematic and effective way whilst using proper conventions of setting out the answer. She is a conscientious and hard working learner who is eager to improve her maths skills.
Fantastic! Lydia is a pleasure to tutor because she is engaged and interested, even though her maths classes at school aren't fantastic. Lydia always puts in a lot of effort, and I can see that with her improvement and increased understanding over the last month. See above
Griffin's weakness should be in how to calculate different interests chapter and some problems on using calculator. If Griffin can finish the questions on his textbook in time, i can give him more questions. This should be good for him.
My son and myself are greatly satisfied with the work that Jacqualine is putting forth to my son Tyler, he looks forward to every session. Jacqueline is professional, explains the following subjects until my son grasps on but also makes learning enjoyable. Not only myself by Tyler's teacher has seen an improvement with his confidence when completing a math's task at school. I believe we are in the process of having Tyler's teacher also liaise with Jacqueline to make this process a easier transition.
Yes tutoring is going really well. I'm practicing and doing my best. I haven't done this in years but I feel as though I am picking it up quite well. Many thanks.
I would just like to say how thrilled we are with Aaron, he is amazing. Tyler loves working with him and actual looks forward to doing maths which I never thought would happen. So once again thank you for such a wonderful service with great tutors.
