Learning science takes a lot of effort. Students not only need to know the content, but how they can use concepts, when they can use them and why it's the right approach in a given situation.
Scientific thinking isn't easily acquired, but the skills are useful across fields and many future careers are built on them. It's a fascinating field with many applications - that's why students choose to put in the time and learn it.
Most students manage to stay afloat or even excel at physics all on their own, they master most steps along the way. However, sooner or later everyone needs help.
Learning how to analyse and solve problems as physicists do is an enormous leap. So how can you get involved and make it just a bit easier for your child?
One way to lift the burden off your child's shoulders is finding someone who will be there when they need it. If they have someone they can relate to, with the right approach at the right time, students tend to achieve their goals easier.
This is how to get started.
Once you reach out to us we can allocate a local Basin Pocket physics tutor within a day or two.
We set up the first lesson at your home, whenever works for you, and we charge a simple hourly rate. The first lesson comes with a money-back guarantee.
Sounds simple enough?

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I avoid getting Ben to just simply remember rules and formulas, and instead work towards getting him to understand the concept so that he understands the mathematics behind the questions i.e. why these rules or formulas do work. Ben applies various learning strategies already without having to be taught them by me - talking aloud, pen to paper, self questioning, note taking and seeking understanding.
Kate is always eager to learning and always wanted to understand the reason behind each step. She makes notes and has very good correct habits. She does the homework and sometimes brings the question that she has difficulty with in school to me. She has very good work habits.
Algebra is the main area that Cash seems to be having difficulty with. I will aim to spend some more time covering this, since algebra is needed for a lot of other topics. Mostly just algebra.
We have been very happy with Kayla's tutoring! Charlie said he was the best prepared he had ever been before a Maths test. He got 64/67 for the knowledge part (previous test was 19/65!). His problem solving, while not fantastic, improved, and his communication had also greatly improved. We are pleased that he ended up with a pass after the previous test, and really I think he will only get better now. Charlie reports that she explains things really well to him which is fantastic.
Thank-you! Chelsea & Jarrod, are very happy with Vafa, and find her very easy to get on with, the kids are feeling very comfortable!! I am very pleased.
Mihika is doing very well with both Lachlan and Courtney, they are building up a rapport together and their exam results have been improved. It certainly has boosted their confidence and we they like their tutor.
