Getting through 12 grades of school has its challenges. From actually passing exams to building intellectual independence to figuring out what to do after high school's over. Everyone can remember some of the hurdles that came up during the school years of their life. We have 4 English tutors in Basin Pocket available to help your child overcome some of those hurdles. Private tutoring is all about a tailored approach, so whether your child needs to overcome some confidence issues, develop a study plan, prepare for exams or comprehend some specific trouble topics, we're here to help. And, what helps the most is having a good student-tutor fit, it's really a core ingredient that determines whether tutoring will help your child in the way you want.
So how does it all work?
The tutoring is done in your home at a time and day that is convenient. We want you to be super happy with your English tutor so the first lesson works as a trial: don't like it = don't pay for it. No extra charges, booking costs, cancellation fees, minimum requirements or anything of that sort. Pay for the tutoring time used at the end of each month based on a simple hourly rate. That's all!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Ronnie is confident in Talking aloud during problem solving sessions. More 'pen to paper' practice will greatly improve the conceptual understanding of example past paper questions. Further sessions will focus on note taking and seeking understanding of the concepts involved in various topics. We are off to a great start and look forward to strengthening those areas that require attention!
Josh's attitude is fine, though he clearly doesn't like maths very much and this impacts his motivation. Josh puts effort into all the problems I give him, though if he becomes frustrated with a problem he will resort to guessing. Josh's work habits are fine, though he sometimes forgets to complete homework because he has forgotten where he put it.
Obviously deficiencies in conceptual understanding of various aspects of Mathematics - still varying degrees of trouble dealing with fractions, general operations, decimals, roots and so forth. Steadily improving in general operations however, though she still makes mistakes. See gaps. Has problems with maths in general, slowly improving.
In a nut shell, we are very happy with Tamara and Laura's progress so far. Her teaching techniques are excellent, exactly what Laura needed & to top it off she is very well mannered and very patient. You can also see that she genuinely enjoys teaching/educating her students. It's a shame there are not more teachers like her!
We have seen improvements in Cheyena's work and results, Aaminah has been really good and we are pleased, thank you.
I am very happy with Rachel. She is very professional and her and Samantha have developed a good working relationship. Samantha has expressed to me that Rachel explains things really well and now she is understanding concepts she hadn't previously.
