Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through VCE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Beaumaris to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Beaumaris chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Carla has always been great with talking aloud and appears to be a natural problem solver. Some of her mistakes go unnoticed so there needs to be a focus on quickly double checking simple calculations - if she can find the errors herself she will have no issue in fixing it.
Good student who wants to achieve good results Make questions if not understand Made quite a lot efforts to fully get the core of the problems Spend time on solving questions by herself Sometimes Alethea jumped too quickly to solve the questions without having a thought about how to do it. She should first analyse the problems then sketch a path to approach the question. Some mistakes were made during calculation
Caroline still has some problems with working out how to start off the problem solving questions, once she gets a start on the questions she knows what to do, it is just finding the information initially and knowing what to do with it. Her algebraic skills have improved massively, along with her basic skills in each topic.
I am very happy with my son's tutor so far. We have only had 2 sessions & already my son is doing his homework after school everyday, without being asked. He also is impressing his tutor with his knowledge. They both relate with each other & I can see good things for my son's future.
I think Molly is really getting a lot out of the sessions and a lot of support. I think that she is also a good role model for Molly.
Michelle is awesome and has taught me so much in a short amount of time. She never doubts my level of ability and is always encouraging me to go above and beyond. Her knowledge of specific maths topics is just out of this world. You guys have one awesome lady on your hands!
