Learning science takes a lot of effort. Students not only need to know the content, but how they can use concepts, when they can use them and why it's the right approach in a given situation.
Scientific thinking isn't easily acquired, but the skills are useful across fields and many future careers are built on them. It's a fascinating field with many applications - that's why students choose to put in the time and learn it.
Most students manage to stay afloat or even excel at physics all on their own, they master most steps along the way. However, sooner or later everyone needs help.
Learning how to analyse and solve problems as physicists do is an enormous leap. So how can you get involved and make it just a bit easier for your child?
One way to lift the burden off your child's shoulders is finding someone who will be there when they need it. If they have someone they can relate to, with the right approach at the right time, students tend to achieve their goals easier.
This is how to get started.
Once you reach out to us we can allocate a local Blakehurst physics tutor within a day or two.
We set up the first lesson at your home, whenever works for you, and we charge a simple hourly rate. The first lesson comes with a money-back guarantee.
Sounds simple enough?

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Confidence level has improved; Puts pen to paper; working habits while problem solving are more organized; seeks to understand; Has shown improvement; However does not focus on backchecking while problem solving; Needs to work on more challenging problem solving questions; Needs to be determined while facing a problem; shouldn't jump to conclusions; focus on thought process
Not that strong of an attitude towards the subject so far, that's okay because she is struggling but once she gains for confidence in maths then she will work harder overall. Not much effort put into retaining knowledge from previous classes. Often finding myself re-teaching old material when we could be moving onto a new topic. Should be reading and making notes during class. She never seems to have any notes from classes, or homework as well.
Work needs to be done on foundation topics such as multiplication and division so Henry has the presumed knowledge to complete other topics. Henry needs to work on improving strategies such as pen to paper and providing sufficient working out. He must also get into the habit of back checking his work through each step.
Great Tutoring and marks are an improvement. Thank you for your persistence and patience!
The tutoring is going quite well. We were really impressed with his proactive approach in asking for her naplan results and course outline from her teacher so he work in line with what she will be learning in class.
I would like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to tutor this year. I have mentored a bunch of wonderful kids who have all made great improvements with their grades and work ethic. In addition, I have seen them become more and more confident with each lesson which has been incredibly rewarding.
