Chemistry can be confusing. Even if students pick it up in the beginning, the sheer amount of content and scope of principles can be overwhelming. The best thing teachers can do if their students are struggling is approach their learning in a personalized way, really getting to know their habits and specific challenges they face. There's nothing like having that one person who knows your study habits inside out, especially when it comes to science. Unfortunately, in classrooms, that's not always possible.

Reilly is improving well with his maths and is confident in tackling the problems he has with the topics in maths we have gone over. At the moment he is just learning to transfer skills i.e. he is learning to use techniques and methods from other topics and apply them to the more difficult questions.
Niamh has a great work ethic and has been completing her homework. I know Niamh is yet to see how exciting fractions can be, but I would like Niamh to come with an open mind to fraction questions. It will be my job to make fractions fun for Niamh this term.
Current problem areas include the 9 and 12 timestables. When doing some multiplication questions under time pressure, at times, Isabell makes some silly mistakes. For example, she may say 3x8 28 even though when she is asked at a later stage, she would say the answer is 24.

Thank you for your e-mail. I have spoken to Wen from the beginning about how he finds the tutoring with Charles. Wen advised that he is happy with Charles as Charles is very kind and very understanding tutor. Wen said Charles communicate with ease and that makes it easier for Wen to understand. Wen said he likes that Charles teaches him the faster and straight forward methods as it is less confusing. Wen said he has been attempting harder questions with Charles which in turn gives him more confidence to attempt them.
We are very happy with Harriet , thanks. Mikayla has found it very easy to relate to her , and Harriet is always approachable and responsive. As it has only been a couple of weeks and is now school holidays , we haven't got any school results to go on however I am sure we will start to see results in this area. We had a negative experience with tutoring in the past (different organisation) , so we were reluctant to go down this path again , however I think we will have success with Harriet.
I thought our tutor was very good, and was very happy with the professionalism. Many thanks Keep up the good work.,
