Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through HSC with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Buff Point to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Buff Point chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Isabel has very good presentation skills in maths, her handwriting is very clear and her notes are up to date. Isabel lacks a bit of confidence at times but I am sure she will get over it as she progresses through the tutoring.
Andrej attitude towards learning new concepts is fantastic. This is likely a key reason why he is able to understand new concepts quickly. Andrej does a great job attempting to sustain his work effort throughout the lesson and usually listens attentively. Appears to be good, although it is hard to tell. I may start reviewing his homework occasionally to check he is still on top of all his class work.
Not much gap as he is in year 6. No many. However, makes some silly mistakes sometimes. Tries to do all the calculations mentally which is not always good. This can make him lose some easy marks in the exams. Need to take sometime and read the questions properly before answering.
Ara and Steven are getting on well. I think it has helped just having someone to ask questions of outside the classroom setting. Also getting an alternate explanations is helping her really click on concepts. She is well advanced on her assignment which she has worked through with Steven. Seems to be more confident to back herself as well.
We have been working with Emily since last year and so we are very happy with her.
Nicholas, our tutor, has been absolutely amazing and has a wonderful influence on on Mike. And you service is exceptional!
