Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through HSC with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Charmhaven to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Charmhaven chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Generally Alessandro has good learning strategies however there are few things that I hope Alessandro needs to improve which are: ok to be wrong, confidence - always doubt about his answer it is ok to be wrong back checking - after when he finish his question he needs to check that answer either that is right or wrong
Nadya's attitude and effort have always been, and continue to be very good. It is good that she marks out the questions that she doesn't understand so that we can go through them during the lessons as we do. All work habits are good - Nadya just needs to remember to check her work constantly as she goes.
Anindita's only real issue is making silly mistakes, so we will just have to do as much practise as possible so that she can stay calm in the exam and make sure she's done all the different types of questions possible.
Isabella likes the fact that Mina will give her Maths problems to work on to reinforce what she has learnt , rather than just explain concepts and move on. She feels that Mina makes sure that she UNDERSTANDS the concepts.
Chloe is fantastic. Jasmine enjoys the maths time in the way chloe has set it out. Jas has already made progress and chloe helps building her confidence. She is wonderful thank you so much.
Blake seems to enjoy his tutoring so far, as you said it can take a few lessons to really get settled.
