Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Beatrice is longer overly rule dependent. She is able to understand the underlying concepts behind the rules. However, she needs to be more confident. She has the capability to solve complex maths problems.
She is always receptive to my inputs. There are instances that I feel she's exhausted which I think is because we are having 2 hours tuition but generally she puts in her best during sessions. Court is organized with reading materials and has them in separate folders for each topic.
Working on most gaps and some improved but more to go. We have covered some topics like perimeter, area and revisions on linear relationships. There are still a lot of basic topics to cover. I can prepare few questions/worksheets for her to do as homework if she is willing to do them.
We believe if it wasn't for Stuart; Paige would not have achieved her most recent result.
We are so happy with Dylan, he has really helped Brayden so much in the short time he has been coming to visit us and Brayden is certainly engaging well with him and as Dylan has stated in his report Brayden has been able to take what he has learnt from Dylan with him into his classroom and is now helping his friends which is great for his self confidence. Very happy overall.
Shruti is an amazing friend and a tutor. She loves to work with you and always has a smile on her face. She will always help you achieve your academic goals and will not leave your side no matter what.
