We can help them by cheering them up instead of making them feel small for not understanding. I believe my patience and understanding towards the person. For me, the two most vital things a tutor can do are to make learning stick and make it last. To make it stick, I focus on practical application. I bridge the gap between textbook theory and the real world, which makes the information tangible and easier to comprehend. To make it last, I focus on building the skills for continuous,…

By creating a supportive and encouraging environment, tutors can help students overcome their fears and self-doubt, which is often the biggest barrier to their success. This involves not only teaching the…

Tutor can guide the student effectively. Tutoring doesn’t mean delivering lecture and completing the curriculum. It is responsible for holistic development of the pupils. Most important a teacher can do is to check the students individual growth and planning for the same. I have more than 4 years of teaching experience. I have taught formally as…

He/she should be motivated to follow the path in which he /she has upper hand or better grasping power. Tutoring is not just about teaching ......It decides the future of next generations. So a tutor acts as a blueprint for a student's carrer.…

Often times students feel ashamed to ask questions or seek out help. Therefore, creating a space for the student's emotions allows them to approach me with any question or issue that they have without fear or embarrassment is a priority for me. This opens doors to learning new things and even accelerates the education and teaching process. My…

1. Understand the strong areas a student is in, let's say it's hard to teach the student mathematics/science when his/her passion is towards art. Understanding the key competencies of a student makes a good tutor, who can then channel them in the right direction to progressive and efficient results. 2. Practical learning, it's easier to teach…

The most important thing in teaching is to make the student believe that they will surpass any goals they set their minds into. Level communication in a way the students will be comfortable to interact with. It will be best if the students seek out help and teachers guide them into analyzing the problem themselves. I think besides helping a student with his/her academics, a tutor can act as a role model for him/her or someone he/she can look up to. A tutor can not only provide academic assistance but also can broadens a student's outlook in many ways by sharing with him/her many stories, news and also giving an idea about manners and ethics as well. The most…

Choosing Ezymath Tutoring was the best decision I've made. The process was extremely easy and the service provided by the team is outstanding. We have been using Ezymath for only one term and my sons have already seen a significant improvement in their results thanks to their wonderful tutor. Will continue the tutoring going forward and highly recommend Ezymath to any parent looking for help and additional support for their kids education.

Inside Burnside HeightsTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 11 student Alice focused on discrete random variables and probability concepts, including practical SAC preparation involving binomial distributions.

Year 10 student Mark worked through geometric and arithmetic sequences, with extra attention given to understanding recurrence relationships using clear examples.

Meanwhile, Year 4 student Kiyana practiced subtraction with two- and three-digit numbers as well as comparing and ordering multi-digit numbers using greater than and less than signs from her school homework.

Recent Challenges

A Year 11 student was hesitant to connect different analytical techniques in English, making it harder to draw strong links across texts—He struggled to relate various techniques with each other.

In Physics (senior years), lesson notes did not show active use of feedback or written working, suggesting a reliance on mental calculation rather than clear, trackable reasoning.

Meanwhile, a Year 8 learner required repeated reminders to focus on detail when reading comprehension tasks appeared—He does require more focus for detail reading, leading to missed nuances in the passages.

Each moment brought a quiet frustration: ideas left unspoken, details skimmed past.

Recent Achievements

One Burnside Heights tutor noticed a big shift in a Year 8 student's approach to English: after weeks of hesitating, she started using her own experiences to connect with reading activities and now volunteers personal stories during lessons.

In Year 10 Maths, another student who used to rush through problems is slowing down and checking his work—last session he completed 28 out of 35 questions in an hour without skipping steps, something he struggled with before.

Meanwhile, a Year 3 learner has moved from guessing answers to circling synonyms independently after practicing word analogies for several sessions.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Caroline Springs Library & Learning Hub—or at your child's school (with permission), like Gilson College.
