Chemistry is just one of those subjects, it either clicks or it doesn't. Many students find maths and physics easy, but when it comes to chemistry they just feel lost.
And it's understandable. It can be challenging to connect the concepts to real-life, see how it all relates to their day-to-day. When they're struggling, students tend to give up easily and at some point, they stop trying altogether.
If your child doesn't catch on right away, or maybe they consider chemistry a complete waste of time, it can be hard to convince them otherwise. What we've found is that students react better when it comes from someone who they can relate to.
They react to mentors, someone closer to their age, who shares the same experience. That's why tutors are in a unique position to help a student grow.
That's why great tutoring can make such a big difference.
Want to find out how? We can allocate a local Capalaba chemistry tutor within a day or two. They reach out to you and set up a first lesson whenever you and your child can make it.
If you like the tutor's approach you keep working with them. If you are not 100% satisfied - we consider it a trial lesson and find a better match. It's that simple!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Seb has improved greatly in his understanding of concepts and the way he approaches questions/concepts he doesn't understand. He now knows the basics of what he learns in school and is coming to a more full understanding of this concepts and increasing his skills in those areas.
Good attitude however sometimes unfocused or reluctant but easy to get back on track Always happy to try something but tends to give up if she thinks it is too hard but will reattempt usually with a little prodding/encouragement Tendency to do working out everywhere on the page with no clear flow
Sometimes Morgan still requires guidance on fractions and their link to division and ratios. While improving on her mathematical understandings, Morgan still sometimes struggle with problem-solving questions with high amount of texts. She is practicing how to complete a summary and to link formulas to questions at a faster pace.
I want to thank you so much, as Zoe has been so amazing. Ella has loved learning from her and I hope that if we come back next year we can request her.
Mel has enjoyed maths since she took up lessons with Rebecca which is music to my ears. She feels more confidence now with her maths. Rebecca is a fantastic tutor and we couldn't be happier with the progress they've achieved so far.
Emily has truly benefited from tutoring and I would not hesitate to recommend your service or to come back again if we felt Emily needed further help.
