Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't. Tutors we work with understand that. They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping...
They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping others do the same. They know the pitfalls, where to spend that extra hour and what you need to memorise before you can completely understand a concept.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Mia is a self-motivated student who implements many effective learning strategies such as talking aloud, self-questioning and is improving her pen to paper skills. Mia always seeks to understand concepts independently. Mia will benefit from back-checking her work to reduce the number of small errors.
Shakira is very enthusiastic. She is very clear on the areas she needs help with. Shakira seems committed to her work when she is with me. I am very happy with the effort she puts on learning during the tutoring sessions. We have a very nice environment and Shakira seems comfortable to ask me any questions. She has a very positive attitude too.
There is still a gap in understanding all the chapters covered thus far in detail. He has grasped the basis concepts but struggles with more challenging questions. He has not yet developed the ability to apply the simple concepts to more difficult questions. Whilst he completes his homework, he still struggles to complete additional questions given to him. Thus he does not spend time practising Maths, which results in him forgetting the material already learnt
I have got to say that Miles is absolutely perfect. Besides being prompt and all that, his explanations are so good that Roland shares them with his school friends to enable them to understand tricky concepts in class. They inevitably will say “Oh, I understand now!” He is making Maths Methods manageable.
So far we are very happy with our classes I am sure as we progress jacob will start to see the improvements
