No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Centennial Park chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Centennial Park, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
This month we have been working on back checking work, looking for simple mistakes which may cost marks on an exam. Overall Christopher is getting more and more confident with this which I believe will help in tests.
Molly's attitude is positive and open to deeper understandings of content, rather than simply wishing to know how to complete a particular task. Molly is always willing to try any task put in front of her. Homework has often been attempted and or completed with a high amount of effort. The work habits that Molly displays are generally healthy. Repetition and practising using the methods taught are all that is required to maintain the current level of progress.
We are working on improving handwriting, spelling and mathematics problem solving (specifically introducing and using techniques beyond guess and check). However Mary is improving in all of these areas with notable improvements to her spelling and handwriting in particular.
Lia is really enthusiastic about the help that Jennifer is providing which as a mother is very exciting and comforting.
Georgia is happy with Kelvin. She is very shy and so it is great that she feels comfortable with him.
Everything is going well with Dexter. Jordana gets on really well with her, and finds Dexter explains things very clearly, and has been a great help already with her understanding of Maths.
