No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Clovelly Park chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Clovelly Park, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Back checking and making good corrections are very useful skills - especially in the exam. So it should definitely always be practiced when studying. Nicholas has improved in these skills, so keep it up! It will also allow the lesson time to be used on looking at harder questions/topics.
Shaun has a great attitude towards the work that I have given to him over the month and is a very hardworking and capable student. He puts a strong sense of effort into working out problems and continues to show interest for more difficult and advanced problems to do.
The main areas Jordana finds challenging include non-linear graphing, indices and logarithms. These are all topics introduced from scratch in year ten, and will therefore be revised quite thoroughly in year eleven methods, giving her plenty of opportunity to refine her skills in these areas.
We are very happy with AiPing, she works the boys hard and seems to be very knowledgeable.
So far we are extremely happy with Sarah. As you said, it is very early days, but so far so good. Mackenzie is very comfortable with her and feeling very positive about having Sarah as his new tutor. She is always punctual and friendly. And she has taken on some extra sessions with Mack over the school holidays which has been very helpful. I look forward to getting a couple of months tutoring under our belt to hopefully see some progress.
Thank you for your email. Things are going well with the tutoring and Christian is a capable young man, as you say it will take time to see an improvement. Hopefully after that time, Kimberley will be feeling more confident.
