No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Collaroy Plateau chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Collaroy Plateau, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
During our sessions I strongly emphasize on making good use of pen and paper. Noting down important points before staring the actual writing work is a useful technique to organize ideas and decide the flow of the writing piece. Back checking, note taking, good corrections, seeking understanding are consistently used during the tutorial sessions. Daniel has started using these for his writing tasks and with more practice he will keep getting better at it.
Jeyda has a positive attitude towards tutoring and always does her homework assigned by me and by her maths teacher. In our last couple of sessions together she was even asking for year 8 work so she could get a head start for next year, which was really encouraging.
It is important to develop a strong base in Mathematics before we tackle different more complex topics. Through marking the numerous homework tasks I have provided Abigayle with it appears that her knowledge of the four operations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Divison) quite sound and we now will moving onto more complex topics.
Yes Jamie seems happy with Daniel's tuition and did well in his maths test following Daniels first tuition session.
All is good, thanks. Tim is really enjoying his sessions with Kat, and she is very good with him. Many thanks,
