Chemistry is just one of those subjects, it either clicks or it doesn't. Many students find maths and physics easy, but when it comes to chemistry they just feel lost.
And it's understandable. It can be challenging to connect the concepts to real-life, see how it all relates to their day-to-day. When they're struggling, students tend to give up easily and at some point, they stop trying altogether.
If your child doesn't catch on right away, or maybe they consider chemistry a complete waste of time, it can be hard to convince them otherwise. What we've found is that students react better when it comes from someone who they can relate to.
They react to mentors, someone closer to their age, who shares the same experience. That's why tutors are in a unique position to help a student grow.
That's why great tutoring can make such a big difference.
Want to find out how? We can allocate a local Collingwood chemistry tutor within a day or two. They reach out to you and set up a first lesson whenever you and your child can make it.
If you like the tutor's approach you keep working with them. If you are not 100% satisfied - we consider it a trial lesson and find a better match. It's that simple!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Niamh is persisting with the strategies with great confidence. Most the learning principals stated, she does sub-consciously but its about encouraging her and building upon these skills. Niamh is a very confident girl who is not shy to tackle more challenging work and this attitude will hold her in good stead for the future.
Her attitude, effort and work habits are all fantastic. She has a great working space to concentrate and is very organised with her work. It's refreshing to see this attitude at such a young age and she will only continue to thrive in a such a supporting environment! Niamh effort cannot be questioned. She does everything with a smile across her face and is excited for lessons. :D
Lack of understanding of basic algebra causes slow progression and understanding leading to longer tie working on simple unnecessary questions. Multiplication and division still needs improvement.
Timothy is very happy with how things are going with Jerome. Tim feels like he is learning and is comfortable with Jerome who I have found to be a very polite young man. Tim has not had any tests or exams since he began tutoring, I'm sure we will see an improvement at that time.
Hi Erica, everything good so far. Isaac is lovely and Adam appears to be relating well to him. He has had 2 recent Math tests and has seemed more relaxed about them so I think we're seeing some short term gains already.
Hi Erica, Yes all seems to be going well with Sean's tutoring. He responds well to Andy. Thanks
