Chemistry is just one of those subjects, it either clicks or it doesn't. Many students find maths and physics easy, but when it comes to chemistry they just feel lost.
And it's understandable. It can be challenging to connect the concepts to real-life, see how it all relates to their day-to-day. When they're struggling, students tend to give up easily and at some point, they stop trying altogether.
If your child doesn't catch on right away, or maybe they consider chemistry a complete waste of time, it can be hard to convince them otherwise. What we've found is that students react better when it comes from someone who they can relate to.
They react to mentors, someone closer to their age, who shares the same experience. That's why tutors are in a unique position to help a student grow.
That's why great tutoring can make such a big difference.
Want to find out how? We can allocate a local Como chemistry tutor within a day or two. They reach out to you and set up a first lesson whenever you and your child can make it.
If you like the tutor's approach you keep working with them. If you are not 100% satisfied - we consider it a trial lesson and find a better match. It's that simple!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Charlotte has been focusing a great deal on methods and procedures. These include writing explicitly each step towards solving particular problems, drawing diagrams, constructing tables, etc. While she still tends to rush her work, its not an enormous problem, though we will continue to work towards mitigating it, and reducing the frequency of common mistakes.
Annabelle has got really great work habits as she is always done her homework and always ready to learn when I arrived on Saturday morning. She is making fantastic effort and I believe she is seeing the rewards now.
Brodie seems to be able to understand and complete most questions without a problem but his marks, although they are improving, aren't at the level that they could be. This means that for most of our sessions now we will focus on the hard questions which will be where most marks are being lost, and specific exam preparation techniques.
Rishi has given Juliette 2 tutorials. So far so good. He quickly established a good rapport with Juliette and found where her strengths and weaknesses were. She had a maths exam today and she said there was only one question that was challenging.
I loved my experience as a tutor! Being a tutor at Ezy Math taught me priceless communication and interpersonal skills. It was a very rewarding experience to see my students learn and improve on their studies over the year, and Ezy Math always gave me the teaching support whenever I needed it. The hours were flexible and easy to schedule in around my other commitments.
I would like to say that James is an excellent tutor. Liam really enjoyed having James as his tutor and I would recommend James to any body interested in a Maths or English tutor. I think that James has done such an excellent job that Liam is now in advance of his class mates and has developed the skills to progress without a tutor.
