Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Alexandra is super quiet and shy which makes it hard for me to know what she needs help with specifically. I am happy to answer any questions that she may have but she just needs to ask and speak up a bit more
Milla clearly works very hard to stay caught up with the class material, and she has an excellent work ethic. Her class notes are clearly written, organized, and corrected, despite the lack of depth her teacher provides. She has said that she consults her school teachers outside of class on her own time as well for extra help. I have not yet reviewed her study tactics before exams, but I will be sure to evaluate what she does to prepare when an exam is assigned.
There is no major problem areas or gaps as Sophia has a very good knowledge of the standard maths course. The only factor she could potentially work on is when harder questions come along which may not seems as familiar or straight forward she sometime thinks she doesn't know how to do it when in reality she can. So that is why I am going to continue to go through harder questions with her so that she knows she can do it and has the knowledge to do it.

Very happy with Luke at the moment. Billie seems keen and is interested in what Luke is showing her. That's a step forward for her when it comes to Maths.
It's going very well so far and Caitlin and Isabella have bonded very well Her confidence is already increasing so I think this will be a good arrangement
Yes we are very happy with Georgia and Catrina seems to be enjoying maths again. I have also recommended Georgia to another parent at my daughters school
