The best thing teachers can do if their students are struggling is approach their learning in a personalized way, really getting to know their habits and specific challenges they face. There's nothing like having that one person who knows your study habits inside out, especially when it comes to science. Unfortunately, in classrooms, that's not always possible.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
This month we Hugo worked on a better understanding of writing, decimals and fractions. We employed talking aloud with reading, "pen to paper" with showing our working for mathematical solutions and "okay to be wrong" when doing a series of questions quickly.
Ruby has a fairly good attitude towards maths despite not really enjoying the subject itself. She doesn't complain at all which is excellent. Ruby puts in a good level of effort and we get a lot done during our sessions. She needs help initially but once I've explained a concept to her she moves through the questions quickly. Ruby has good work habits completing her homework each week.
Still lacking in basic multiplication operation, although she is slightly improving but she needs to practice her multiplication daily in order for her to answer the question straight away. Just really needs to focus on her basic multiplication tables from 2 to 6, in order to know the answer within 5 seconds or less.

Things are going really well. Kai enjoys Noah's tutoring. On his last math's assessment he received 80% in comparison to the one before which was 55%. I met with his math's school teacher and she has provided upcoming topics for Noah to discuss with Kai as well as 2 practice tests. Her feedback was positive too and constructive. If we stay on this path, I'm confident that it will prepare him well for the upcoming HSC.
Appreciate all the work and effort from Ezymath. Very happy with the program and the service.
Stuart and Ben seem to have hit it off straight away and my son was very happy with his first lesson. It is still early days to really make a comment but Stuart seems like a very smart, helpful, pleasant young man and they both seem to share an interest in soccer.
