Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through HSC with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Quakers Hill to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Quakers Hill chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Jeyda has been continued to use talking aloud and pen to paper, particularly with algebra questions, which is great to see. I've continued to emphasise coping with anxiety skills for tests (like listening to music, avoiding talking to others about what they have or haven't studied, making study plans to be prepared early), because I think her last maths result (36%) was due to a lot of stress mistakes.
She puts a lot of effort into her homework and always completes it to a high standard. However, when doing work during the lessons she's often a little distracted and impatient. This could be due to a lack of interest in certain topics, in which case it's important for her to understand that all topics in the syllabus must be covered in order to move on to more interesting and fun topics.
Mia is encouraged to go through the working out on her page to make sure her thinking is correct as she progresses through a question. She may benefit from finding an organisational structure for her working out in her workbook.

Anna is thoroughly enjoying Stef tutoring. She likes her. Thank you for sending such a beautiful girl to us.
Stuart had his first session with Paige yesterday and she felt very comfortable with him. All looks good so far.
Daman was tutoring me in math to help me pass an army test and i ended up passing my test last week. He has helped me improve in math which I've been struggling with when growing up and as I will now be teaching myself improve more and more in math using his method as I believe it really helped me. I wouldn't have passed the test without him so hats off to this bloke.
