Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Edgecliff, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Edgecliff English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.
Give us a try, it's a risk-free proposal. 1300 975 754

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
The main techniques I am trying to get Bridie into the habit of using are pen to paper and back checking. Whenever faced with a problem that seems difficult I encourage her to draw out the problem and write down everything that is given. This technique has been helping her figure out what is asked and what can be used to find the answer. I am also trying to get Bridie to always check herself even when she is reasonably confident.
Impeccable attitude; always looking to learn more, and demonstrates real interest in the topics we study. She's always been a good worker, but she has clearly picked up the pace this past month due to the harder workload. She appears to be doing fine: homework is always done on time. No complaints!
None. The biggest problem is his inconsistency as sometimes he understands the questions very quickly, but then a few minutes later he forgets the answer and doesn't understand how to do the same question.
Phal has been amazing with our kids and she has improved their standard immeasurably. They have delighted in her passionate teaching style and have come away with much knowledge and strategies in approaching their maths.
Eric has been tutoring both my children for math over the past year. He has demonstrated exemplary patience and persistence in engaging with both children, and has successfully improved their mathematic skills. Eric is always calm and organised, he consistently plans ahead for lessons and adjusts what to teach according to need. He is punctual and reliable, and flexible enough to work around his own schedule and the busy schedule of families. He considers my feedback on how the children are going, and has found his own ways to help them maintain focus for the entire session. I have enjoyed having Eric as a tutor in our home and have recommended him to other families.
The ezymaths company was professional to deal with, our tutor was punctual and very knowledgeable and generally a very nice person. Our tutor identified by the second lesson the areas my daughter needed to focus on and from this time she has been addressing these areas. My daughter enjoys her tutoring sessions now.
