Local Reviews

A tutor was found very quickly for my daughter. When a different tutor was required, there wasn't one immediately available (due to my daughter's work), but EzyMaths was in constant contact until they found a new tutor. Both were in contact very quickly to organise a suitable time, and made sure they knew what my daughter was working on and bought suitable materials.
Sarah, Glenmore Park

Inside Glenmore ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Isla practised dividing fractions and solving perimeter word problems, with extra focus on converting between decimals, percentages, and fractions.

In Year 9, Ethan worked through exam-style questions on quadratic equations and simultaneous equations, then tackled trigonometry problems to find unknown sides in triangles.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Ava reviewed graphing exponential and circle equations and reinforced her understanding of parabolas by sketching graphs from given equations.

Recent Challenges

In Year 9, a student repeatedly forgot to bring a calculator and new school topics to sessions—"never brings his calculator and refuses to bring new topics"—which made it difficult to target current needs and slowed progress in algebra revision.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 learner struggled with organizing materials, not bringing previous test papers as requested; this left gaps when reviewing feedback for exam preparation.

In Year 3 maths, hesitation to speak thoughts aloud led to skipped steps in addition, so errors went unnoticed until the answer stage. Without these process changes, time was spent retracing rather than building confidence or extending skills.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Glenmore Park recently saw a Year 9 student, who used to hesitate when faced with algebraic expansions, now confidently expanding and simplifying bracketed expressions without prompts.

In a Year 11 session, one student made a significant leap—after struggling earlier in the term, he improved his exam results by about 30% and now tackles surface area questions on pyramids with no trouble.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 learner who rarely asked for help before has started actively questioning the steps for solving decimal problems and even finished her homework independently after breaking it down herself.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Penrith City Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Glenmore Park High School.
