As a tutor, being able to teach the content, and help student gain knowledge is the most important and baseline requirement. Although, another equally important thing is to be responsible and caring. I am interesting and engaging. I am also patient, so I rarely, if ever, get annoyed at my students for not understanding a concept or problem. I am…

Support is a major part of tutoring. Support and encouragement are the best ways to improve confidence allowing studentss to take more from school each day. As a student when you start to build that confidence from not feeling behind in class and the sense of achievement from really understanding the work it creates a 'snow-ball' effect and…

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to teach them not to do the work for them and to show them, instil a love of learning and not to have to force work upon them. The most important thing a tutor can do is clearly communicate a concept or idea to the student, and be patient as everyone absorbs knowledge at different paces. I am friendly and enjoy meeting new people.
I also am understanding to students, as everyone is at a different stage in their academic road to achievement.

I believe being supportive and understanding of a students needs and also being there for them when they require help. The most important things i can do for a student include asking the students how they answered certain questions, allowing them to realise where their errors are and learn off of their mistakes. Being able to regurgitate questions into smaller sections is the key in answering exam style questions, thus it is very important for a tutor to be able…

I think the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to build their confidence in a subject area. A student with more confidence will feel comfortable with the subject matter and will be able to apply it to a wider variety of questions and problems.
Attaining this confidence can be achieved through a number of methods such as:…

A tutor's main importance is to make sure the student enjoys the subject and understands it with a much better perspective. While it is to help the student learn, a tutor aims at making the subject much more enjoyable that will make the student want to learn. I believe a tutor needs to be someone that the student can connect with easily and trust. The student needs to see progress and feel like they are…

A tutor will ideally be able to give a student confidence, knowledge, an understanding of why learning is important, and hopefully some sense of enjoyment of the learning process.
