Chemistry can be confusing. Even if students pick it up in the beginning, the sheer amount of content and scope of principles can be overwhelming. It's no wonder most students need an extra push from time to time.
The best thing teachers can do if their students are struggling is approach their learning in a personalized way, really getting to know their habits and specific challenges they face. There's nothing like having that one person who knows your study habits inside out, especially when it comes to science. Unfortunately, in classrooms, that's not always possible.

Yasmin has some solid learning strategies, including talking aloud, pen to paper, desire for understanding, avoiding lazy thinking and not being defensive. Learning strategies that are close to satisfactory are back checking, note taking, good corrections, positive self talk, seeking teacher for help, avoiding rule dependency, problem solving skills, belief in self and that it is okay to be wrong. Her self questioning and lateral thinking are close to being satisfactory.
Bailey's attitude have been very good i nthe lead up to his HSC exams. He applied himself very well consistently and it was clear he wanted to do well in his exams. His effort was also good as he was willing to do extra hours of lesson in order to try to understanding how to do certain questions. His work habits was also good because even outside of the tutorial lessons he would be attempting past questions, which further underlines his commitment and application.
Mary doesn't have any major gaps in knowledge. She is still learning how to put her knowledge together in problem solving and application based questions. In English her biggest weakness is still spelling, although this has improved over the last year. As previously mentioned we at still working on building Mary's problem solving skills and improving her spelling.
EzyMath is great for the busy working family as the tutors come to your place at an agreed time to suit the family. The rate is very competitive and the written reports are a valuable source of information on a student's progress. The tutor was conscientious and went out of her way to obtain appropriate resources for our son. She was reliable and flexible and made our son feel at ease and more confident with his studies.
Arielle finds Ivan explains concepts really well and she seems to get on well with him , which is also important! Certainly she feels he is more helpful than the previous tutor and she doesn't dread the lesson like she used to before and manages to be alert for the whole hour. This is a big improvement on the previous tutoring experience!
We are more than happy with Kancelot. He and Rohan seem to get along well, he is punctual and polite , and is also helping Rohan improve his maths skills.
