While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local biology tutor in Mount Samson we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Mount Samson, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a risk-free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
The past 3 tutoring sessions in November were focused on reading comprehension, which Ella handles very well. She is confident in her reading skills and understanding the content. If she mispronounces a word, she will go back and correct herself with confidence, which shows how much her learning strategies have matured.
As always, Callum continues to have a good attitude towards tutoring, and he definitely want to do well in the subject. In terms of work habits, as important as the theory book is, practice questions are more important, so that he doesn't encounter any questions he's never seen before.
Zoe often still encounters minor errors in her work, such as the positive and negative signs which she must be careful about. Zoe also has some trouble tackling worded problems, she needs to illustrate the given information in a diagram first and needs to remember mathematical techniques such as defining variables and knowing how to rearrange formulas for perimeter and area which often come up in questions.

We are very happy with both Seth's tutor Robert and his progress! He is actually looking forward to starting up again when school goes back :)
All is good Athena really likes Fatemeh, and is enjoying the tutoring. Best regards
Matthew has been extremely happy with the tutoring Hannah has provided, and received an A on his most recent Maths test this week. Hannah is always very punctual and explains things very clearly to Matthew, and in particular has encouraged him to show his working out, which contributed toward him receiving more marks on his recent test than he would have otherwise received. Matthew has already asked if Hannah can continue to tutor him next year!
