No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Redbank chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Redbank, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Sydney progressed throughout the time at tutoring at asking questions when necessary and talking about the strategies that he was using / what he was thinking, and we had a strong dynamic in this area in which we were able to communicate effectively. Throughout our sessions he gained confidence and learned to think about things at a higher level in order to apply theories in new ways.
I wonder if Nick studies consistently enough as he usually forgets things when I come back to see him. He is smart so I don't see why he should be forgetting concepts so I believe that he might not be putting enough hours in.
We have been revising operations on fractions, and especially converting between fractions, decimals and percentages. These are things that Catherine has struggled with in the past but she is continuing to improve in these areas and is building more confidence which is great to see.
Both Thomasine and Luke are liking Scott as well. He has always been on time and is very polite. Jonathan and I can't believe our luck!
Adele is very happy with Irina. We have already seen results. In her last in class quiz, she came 5th in the class. An improvement from a few weeks ago when Adele got 3/15 for the class quiz.
We have just had our first session with John and I am writing to let you know how impressed I am with John. He was on time, polite and dressed professionally . His calm manner with Oliver was great. Oliver really enjoyed it and liked John very much . I am looking forward to many more positive sessions that result in Oliver improving .
